We are currently in the process of updating our skins for vBulletin 4.1.4

We are going to take this time to fix all known bugs in our skins.

If anyone knows of any bugs please let us know in this thread.

Skins Updated
  • BP-Black Series 1 & 2
  • BP-White Series 1 & 2
  • BP-Light Series 1 & 2
  • BP-Grey Series 1 & 2
  • Eloquent
  • bTech
  • Future
  • Hazard
  • BlueSteel
  • Business
  • USTECH

vBulletin introduced a new text editor which needed to be completely restyled. So if you have upgraded to 4.1.4 you will need to download the latest version of your skin from the client area.

Check the attachment to see how the new styled editor looks for our dark skins.

I had a CSS trouble using the VSA checking for duplicate thread.

The for button where all screwed up and the for not closed correctly. (works fine on the default vbulletin skin). I use the the Eloquent skin.

Do you think that I can upgrade vBulletin while waiting for the updates without breaking anything?

I would not at this time as I'm more than sure that if you did you would muck up your system, it is much better to wait a couple of days. You will never know the issues that you are going to get if you did the update process... Just my cents.

Yeah the new editor will need to be re-skinned. While the new editor doesn't look so good at the moment, it does work. Still, wait on the updates if you're in no big hurry.

Yep looks just like mine, better wait if you have a lot of members and traffic. My site is new so I will just wait it out instead of reverting back.

You can fix that easy.

There is a file /images/editor/sprite.png
Place that in you styles editor folder and atleast the editor works.

I got problems when editing a post.
That is not working the buttons do not work.
Can't safe the edited post.

and..

Just an update, I managed to style the new editor and fix all the new style changes. This update is probably bigger than the 4.0.8 to 4.1.0 upgrade!! lol

I will downloading the skins from my demo board tonight/early tomorrow morning and uploading the new versions to the client area then.

Great! Thanks Sean. One question though. Can you perhaps tell me where to style this new editor? I have just too many template edits to update all skins. It would be great if I could just style the editors. Thank mate!

Good morning Sean,

This is just a heads up that on the BP-Black vBulletin skin when using the Standard Editor mode (default) in new posts or replies, it has white text on the white background. I created a test account on your demo board to verify. See below:

I've tried searching through my own CSS entries, but haven't identified the culprit yet.

All white templates are about to be uploaded now.

Black skins are finished except one bug which I cannot seem to find a solution for. So I am just waiting for vBulletin to give me an answer. No matter what change I make to the CSS the new editor does not change from white to black.

For black skins I prefer to have black text boxes.

So far this is the only thing I have left to do.

Yes, the issue occurs with either Chrome, Firefox, or IE. However, I noticed this morning you changed the WYSIWYG editor box on your test forum to a black background. It looks like all you need to do is incorporate the black theme buttons as depicted in your screenshot above, and it should be back to its sexy dark self...
